Adam and Valerie Shorten work on the farm full time with some help from parents, brothers and sister. They are 5th generation farmers and have a young son Darragh who is 4. It’s a south facing farm with beautiful views of West Cork. it means so much to them to be farming on the same land as their ancestors – passing from generation to generation and always improving. They increased the cow numbers from 48 in 2013 to 96 cows this year after constructing a new milking parlor. They are constructing a new calf shed for 2020.
